OTT Pay announces partnership with Levi’s® bringing Chinese mobile payments to stores across Canada

February 24, 2020 | Press Release

We are delighted to welcome Levi Strauss & Co. (Levi’s®) as one of our most recent partner clients. This new partnership—in effect since January 20, 2020—enables the iconic denim maker to accept prominent Chinese digital payment solutions in 17 Levi’s® stores across Canada.

With USD $5.763B in revenues in 2019, Levi Strauss & Co. is one of the world’s largest brand-name apparel companies and a global leader in Jeanswear. Best known for its signature Levi’s® jeans, the company also designs casual wear and accessories for men, women and children sold in more than 110 countries worldwide.

Levi’s® is OTT Pay’s major brand-name apparel client, with products available through a combination of Levi’s® stores, shop-in-shops in chain retailers and department stores, and online sites. This collaboration marks a new milestone for OTT Pay, and solidifies the company’s mission to help Canadian businesses use mobile payments as a key tool to tap into the powerful Chinese consumer market.

“OTT Pay is excited to launch this partnership with world-renowned fashion brand Levi’s® in Canada,” said Alex Liu, Chief Executive Officer of OTT Pay Inc. “Chinese consumers look for high-quality products with a great reputation. Offering WeChat Pay, Alipay and UnionPay QR code will enable Levi’s® to raise their profile among Chinese consumers in Canada, and we’re looking forward to working with them to develop tailored solutions that meet the needs of this growing market.”

This strategic partnership confirms Levi Strauss & Co.’s desire to pursue its growth in the Chinese consumer market, by welcoming Chinese consumers into their Canadian stores. Accepting easy and reliable Chinese mobile payment solutions will also enable Levi’s® to connect and build a lasting relationship with young and affluent Chinese shoppers—namely international students and independent outbound travellers—spending billions annually in Canada.

OTT Pay is the leading provider of Chinese mobile payment solutions in Canada. Our extensive knowledge of the Chinese consumer market has already helped many retail partner clients such as October’s Very Own, Birks Group, L’ORO Jewellery, Cadillac Fairview and Oxford Properties, to get ahead in this competitive market. We’re confident we can also provide Levi’s® with the right tools and solutions to achieve this goal.
