Why We Built OTT Pay.
Commerce doesn’t stop at borders but payments infrastructure often does.
When OTT Financial Group was founded in Toronto in 2006, a vast and growing population of merchants serving cross-cultural and cross-border customers had limited options: legacy processors that didn’t support the payment methods their customers actually used, fragmented tools that multiplied overhead, and settlement infrastructure that couldn’t keep pace with global trade.
OTT Pay was built to change that.
We started with a single insight: the future of commerce is multi-market, multi-currency, and multi-method, and the businesses navigating that future need a platform that moves with them.
We launched Canada’s first WeChat Pay and Alipay acceptance solution, built direct relationships with tier-1 banking partners across North America and Asia, and expanded steadily into a platform that now serves merchants from single-location retailers to multinational enterprises.
Today, OTT Pay is more than a payment processor. We are a financial infrastructure company, licensed by the Bank of Canada, FINTRAC, and CIRO, building the connective layer between merchants, consumers, and global markets.
