OTT Pay launches China’s biggest Mobile Payment Services in Waterloo Region

WATERLOO, Ont.- Waterloo Region Tourism Marketing Corporation is set to partner with OTT Pay Inc. to introduce Chinese mobile payment services, Alipay and WeChat Pay, into local tourism businesses to increase travel and shopping consumption in the Waterloo Region.

The partnership with OTT Pay, member of the OTT Group, a Canadian group of companies specialized in international financial services, will be announced at Waterloo Tourism’s annual general meeting on April 19.

“We are looking forward to this partnership with OTT Pay and know that as we attract more Chinese visitors to our region, this service will be popular,” says Minto Schneider, Chief Executive Officer of Waterloo Tourism. “Our region prides itself on cultural diversity so with this partnership, international visitors can gain financial reliability and security.”
